2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan with 4.0L Bi-Turbo V8 Rendered

To the delight of photo manipulators, all three major German premium carmakers, including Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, are very predictable (to the point of tediousness sometimes) when it comes to the appearance of high-performance versions of their regular models.
As such, imagining the styling of upcoming cars like the next Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sports saloon is a pretty straightforward process – change the grille, lower the ride height, add model-specific front and rear bumpers, side skirts, bigger alloy wheels and trim details, and you're all set.
Before we leave you to take a closer look at Virtuel Car's digital-made photos of the car, let us tell you that, unlike the latest BMW M3 and M4 that swapped their predecessors' naturally aspirated V8 for a force-fed inline six, Mercedes will continue to offer a V8, but instead of being naturally aspirated, the new 4.0-liter unit is reported to employ the use of twin-turbochargers for close to 500-horses.

Mercedes-Benz Celebrates 10 Million Deliveries of C-Class and 190E

Launched in 1993 as a replacement for the highly successful 190 range, the C-Class has become one of Mercedes’ main three nameplates, along with the E-Class and the flagship S-Class. Although the C-Class name was first used in 1993 with the launch of the W202 generation, Mercedes considers the 190 sedan as part of the C-Class family history and includes its sales in the total.
This is why total deliveries of the C-Class are stand at 10 million units since 1982, when the 190 launched. Of the total amount, more than 2.3 million units are from the current generation C-Class (W204) – sedans, estates and coupes altogether.
The sedan is preferred by customers in the U.S., South Africa and the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), while the estate has great success in Europe and among business customers. As for the coupe, Mercedes-Benz says it tops the registration lists in virtually all markets, including the U.S., Germany and China.
“The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a global success story. Sales of over 10 million C-Class cars speak for themselves. Launched as the ‘Baby Benz’, it is now one of the most popular cars in the premium segment,” said Dr Joachim Schmidt, executive vice president sales and marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Starting next year, Mercedes will begin production of the fourth-generation C-Class, which will be the first model to be built on four continents: Europe (Bremen, Germany), Africa (East London, South Africa), Asia (Beijing, China) and North America (Tuscaloosa, USA).

Mercedes-Benz's Upcoming Porsche 911 Challenger, the SLC AMG, Rendered

With a starting MSRP of a shade under $200,000 in the U.S. and €190,000 in its home market of Germany, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in Coupe and Roadster body styles is positioned in the mid-price range of exotic sports cars.
Now, being that Germany's finest car manufacturers are on a mission to cover every single niche, no matter how big or small it is, one shouldn't be the least surprised to learn that Merc's AMG division has set its eyes on the entry-level premium sports car category with a new model priced at around (possibly even under) the $100,000 mark.
In this segment, you'll find cars like the Porsche 911 (starts at $84,300) and Audi R8 (begins at $114,900), as well as the upcoming higher-performance versions of the Corvette Stingray and Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
The SLS AMG's smaller and more affordable sibling will be named the SLC AMG and it will go on sale in 2015, according to our latest intel. Mercedes has already circulated development photos of the low and wide SLC AMG, which won’t come with gullwing doors in order to reduce costs. To get a better look at the new AMG model, David Kiss from TopSpeed rendered the SLC using spy photos as well as the SLS AMG as a template, since the two cars will share a number of family styling traits.
The exclusively two-seater model will ride on a modified front-mid-engine platform sourced from the SLS AMG, with a shorter wheelbase and overall length. It will also be lighter than its bigger brother, while engine choices are believed to include up to three turbocharged V8 powerplants delivering from around 450hp to well over 500hp in the Black Series edition, and possibly an entry level turbocharged V6.

Mercedes Boss Says S-Class Pullman will Rival Rolls-Royce Phantom

With the demise of the Maybach brand, Daimler has been left without a player in the top segment of luxury cars, where the Rolls-Royce Phantom is now virtually on its own. One could say the Bentley Mulsanne is up there too, but I for one (and RR too), see it more as competitor for the Ghost than the monumental Phantom.
However, it looks like the Phantom will soon have competition, since the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class will spawn a Pullman model that will act as the flagship of the brand. In an interview with Autocar, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche has confirmed that the S-Class Pullman will be aimed at the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Zetsche said Mercedes-Benz has developed the new S-Class to support six different models with three different wheelbases. On top of the range will sit a new Pullman model that will replace the Maybach. The ultra-luxurious sedan will be based on an extra-long-wheelbase version of the S-Class and will be differentiated from regular S-Class models by individual styling touches. These will include a unique grille that will give it a more noble presence.
“We will continue in the market segment above €200,000 (£170,000). It is important that Mercedes-Benz is represented. We have tradition at this level,” Zetsche told the magazine. “We see a chance to extend our leadership at the top end of the luxury car market. We plan to extend the number of models, and a Pullman is included in those plans,” he added.
The CEO stated that the new S-Class will be offered with three wheelbases in selected markets: standard, long, and extra-long variants. The latter will be aimed especially at markets such as China they are likely to form the base for the Pullman models. In the past, the Pullman name designated stretched versions of the S-Class limousines.

Refreshed 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Gets a Digital E63 AMG Treatment

There never was, and there will never be, an official AMG high-performance version of the C207-codenamed Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe that was just recently launched in facelifted form, something that the German brand has already admitted as being a big mistake that will be corrected with the next generation model.
Nevertheless, this admission has not stopped Photoshop artist Khalil Bouguerra from imagining (at least from a rear-quarter profile aspect) what a new E63 AMG Coupe would look like if Mercedes had given it the green light.
In theory, along with the minor changes to the bodywork and wheel combinations, the coupe would adopt the 2014MY E63 AMG sedan's bi-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 pumping out 550HP (557PS) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque in regular guise and 577HP (585PS) and 590 lb-ft (800Nm) with the optional S package.

Russian Mercedes-Benz AMG TV Spot Takes it Easy

All those crazy dash-cam videos from Russia that are circulating on the internet would lead you to believe that any car footage related to the land of vodka, babushkas and caviar would entail a crash or at least someone pointing a gun to a motorist.
But it's not always like that, especially when it comes to politically correct television commercials like this one from Mercedes-Benz's AMG performance car division – though, we're pretty sure that a number of viewers would have preferred something a tad more exciting and unpredictable than what the brand with the star came up with here.
The AMG models featured in the promo film include the E63, CLS 63, SLS gullwing coupe, SL63 roadster and the G Wagen. You can check it out for yourself right below the break.
